OVERVIEW: The policy envisages an effective and efficient food safety system that is geared to secure access to safe and quality food for all, thus reducing morbidity and mortality rates arising from food borne illnesses/diseases.
OVERVIEW: The Veterinary Policy provides a definite roadmap for the development of animal resources in Kenya. It addresses animal health, production, welfare, food safety and trade among other concerns.
OVERVIEW: The Kenya Menstrual Hygiene Management Policy is an outcome of a situation analysis done as a precursor to its formulation. The Situational Analysis revealed gaps in knowledge about menstruation, compounded by taboos, myths, stigma surrounding the normal biological process of menstruation.
OVERVIEW: The policy provides an overarching framework covering the multiple dimensions of food security and nutrition improvement. It has been purposefully developed to add value and create synergy to existing sectoral and other initiatives of government and partners.
OVERVIEW: The overall goal of the Policy Framework is to enable Kenya’s nomadic communities realise the goal of universal access to basic education and training.
