OVERVIEW: The overall objective of the NARS policy is to create an enabling environment for a vibrant agricultural research system that contributes effectively to national development.
OVERVIEW: The major national objectives of Kenya's food policy are self-sufficiency, food security, employment creation, income generation, foreign exchange earnings, rural-urban balance, poverty alleviation and overall economic growth.
OVERVIEW: The Livestock Policy covers key issues relating to: farm animal genetic resources, livestock feeds and nutrition, inputs, animal diseases and pests, livestock marketing, research and extension and food security.
OVERVIEW: The National Fisheries Policy 2020 would offer a strategized way forward to develop, harness, manage and regulate capture and culture fisheries in a responsible and sustainable manner.
OVERVIEW: The policy recognises co-operatives as private business organizations. In order to become responsible corporate entities, co-operatives are expected to promote good governance practices that ensure their sustainable growth and development.
