The success of Nandi County depends on everybody playing their role right from the executive led by the Governor, through to the County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers to the Ward Administrators, Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot, has said.
Dr. Cheruiyot, the County’s Deputy Governor, informed officers who included Chief Officers and Ward Administrators that the county’s development rests squarely on them.
The officials attended induction training at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) Baringo Campus. The Deputy Governor drew special attention to county leadership not being a privilege, but a responsibility. “Leaders are accountable for the success and livelihoods of people. As such, leaders must never act in a cavalier fashion, but deliver as expected,” said Dr. Cheruiyot.
Nandi County has a cohesive team of individuals with a wealth of experience and knowledge to drive the County’s vision.
Dr. Cheruiyot expressed admiration for the Kenya School of Government’s capability in training. She motioned that the induction was the beginning of many opportunities in as far as sharpening skills of the county staff is concerned.
The Baringo Campus Director, Dr. Solomon Letangule, appreciated the leadership of Nandi County for the avowed relationship with the School, giving an assurance that KSG’s transformative agenda to deliver to Kenyans is considered very crucial.
The Nandi County Chief of Staff Ms. Priscilla Ronoh also attended the function.
